Diamond Foundry has initiated the construction in Trujillo (Cáceres) of its second synthetic monocrystalline diamond production plant, the first the company will have in Europe. With an investment of about 800 million euros, it will be powered exclusively by photovoltaic solar energy.
For the cooling of the facilities in this ambitious 100% ecological project, the American company has trusted EWK. For this, the plant will have 18 open-circuit Cooling Towers of the EWK 680 model. These towers are equipped with anti-legionella materials, both the structure of the tower itself and its filling elements.
They are also provided with control cabinets that will allow maintenance managers to monitor performance and make the necessary adjustments to optimize water and electricity consumption. With this EWK contributes to the sustainability objective of this great project.
