WEPA trusts EWK for the cooling of its Swalmen plant (The Netherlands)
WEPA, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of toilet paper since its foundation in 1948, maintains a strong corporate strategy focused on sustainability. Among its key initiatives are the production of toilet paper made from recycled fibers and its collaboration with various associations to promote circular economy practices within the industry. This WEPA plant will produce a new fiber for paper manufacturing from elephant grass (Miscanthus). This innovative product ensures that the supply of raw materials remains secure despite the declining availability of recycled paper.
With 13 locations across Europe, WEPA has once again chosen high‑efficiency and reliable solutions, placing its trust in EWK for the cooling system of its plant in Swalmen (The Netherlands). For this facility, the company has installed a EWK‑DA 900 centrifugal cooling tower.
This model stands out for its compact design and for being one of the quietest cooling towers on the market—features especially valued in installations like this one, located on the rooftop of the factory. Additionally, the customer selected a grey‑colored casing, a customization that allows the equipment to blend seamlessly with its surroundings.
WEPA’s confidence reinforces EWK’s commitment to energy efficiency, sustainability, and the ability to adapt to the specific needs of each industrial installation.
